Newsflash
Upcoming Board Meeting

Date and Time: Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 5 to 7 pm

Location: Flight Ops Building, NASA/Ames

Our monthly board meeting will be held from 5 – 7 pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. In all probability, the meeting will end significantly earlier than 7. The meeting is open to all interested, but there will not be a general meeting in April. Topics to be discussed include:

  • A rough draft of the new chapter website.
  • The newsletter and website templates.
  • The chapter’s involvement in the 2010 Interoperability Conference.
  • An update in the chapter’s involvement in a possible Silicon Valley robotics/unmanned technologies cluster and a possible business plan competition related to that.

Location:
Flight Operations Building, NASA Ames, Moffett Field, Mountain View, CA 94040

Directions
:

  • From 101 take the Ellis St. exit, turn east, and enter through the south gate. Show ID to the guard and tell him you are going to Flight Operations.
  • You will not need a badge to enter. If there is any problem with entry, call Base Operations at (650) 603-9213.
  • After passing through the guard gate, make a left at the light and you'll see the Flight Operations building (with Control Tower) on the right. Park in the lot and buzz the front door and you will be let in. Tell the person who buzzed you in what you are here for and then proceed to the conference room near the middle of the second floor.

The Silicon Valley Chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is the Bay Area's largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems community. AUVSI Silicon Valley, with members from government organizations, industry, and academia, is committed to fostering, developing, and promoting unmanned systems and related technologies.

By providing opportunities for information exchange, networking and business development, AUVSI forums are the best resource for simply learning about unmanned systems or for staying abreast of the latest program and technology updates.
